WBS overview.

Now we know how to create a list of items that need to be done, from the Statement of Work - which is developed from the R.F.P., the Proposal and high level plans, We need a way of organizing the task or activities (same meaning) into similar/related groups. The method we use is called a Work Breakdown Structure. This enables us to define relationships between the activities, look for people with necessary skills, assign Responsibilities on a Matrix, estimate the work and be ready to plan the sequence of tasks, (Network diagram) and the Schedule of when the taks are to be done. Although this lessson is promarily abour the WBS I we will demonstrate the progression of the WBS to the Network Diagram and then to the GANTT to chart to help you see the bigger picture.

I have created a a starter document for MS Project because this software enable us to complete the above more easily when there are more than a few tasks.
