Draw a network diagram base on the following. Show critical path and time for C.P.

This diagram and explanation will be reviewed prior to the exam . Try drawing the diagram. A trick is to write all the letters for the Predecessor before the letters in the Task list. This helps see the actual postions which they will be in on the Network diagram The clues are:

Box A. There is nothing before A so you know it is the first box to be drawn after the word Start.

Now when you draw Box B, the Predecessor is A. Predcessor means "It comes before," so you know that A come before B. Therefor you would draw B after A.

Now when you draw C you can see that BD come before it. You haven't drawn D yet but you can now because it comes after A.

C.P. (Critical Path) is A, B, C, F is 23 minutes.

. The other paths are less.21 mins. and 20 mins boxes they would have the letters and then duration (times from above) written in the boxes.  

If you are given Predecessors you can quickly draw the Network diagram. Now lets take what we learned and apply it to the House Building Exercise. Notice on the task list you were given didn't have predecessors.
