Project / Project Information:  to set the Start or Finish Date if you don’t use the Templates

 

File / Properties / Title, Subject, Author, etc. to identify the name of the project

 

View /Table / Entry: Use this to enter the task and the people who will be doing the them

 

View /Table / Entry  - see side bar tables: Cost / Schedule / Summary / Track Usage / Variance / Work

 

Views / More views / Select from table / Relationship diagram (critical peth), Milestones, etc.

 

 / Descriptive Network Diagram: shows the critical path in red.

 

 / Relationships:  show the predecessor and the succesfor for a task if you have entered predecessor.

 

Format / GANTT Chart Wizard: for the critical path development

 

Format / Timescale: shows the section of the GANTT you want to view or print or change using the Zoom in or Zoom out buttons. Has the same effect as changing the Timescale.

 

View / Table / Schedule: to see the Early Start and Early Finish times

 

Resource sheet – on Side Bar: enter hourly wages and overtime rates and materials as needed.

 

View / Reports / Overview / Critical Tasks  /  Sub menu for details as described and needed.

 

View / Report  / Assignments or Workload: to see if there is an over allocation of work

 

Tools / Resource leveling: make your choices for the period and activities you want to remove conflict from

 

View / Resource Sheet: breakdown of all the resources on the project
