Cathy 75th birthday party at condo.

Cathy had two surprise 75th birthday parties. One was at her daughter Jan's house a week before her birthday. Most of her brother's and sisters and other family members surprised her. She was delighted that her birthday turned into a family reunion.

On the day of her birthday with the help of a few of the condo residents, Fred threw another TOTAL surprise party which involved getting enough food and drinks for about 40 people into Cathy's building without her knowing anything about it. Cathy and Fred went to the movies at 4PM and then back to her condo to change into evening clothes, to go to the Mandarin for dinner with four of their dancing buddies. However, on entering her darkened apartment she was astounded to find about 40 people drinking wine and eating appetizers waiting for her. The Mandarin was a set up. Everyone was invited to take their drinks and munchies down to the condo party room which was decorated with various themes.

Some well wishers were unable to stay for the sit down dinner, but about 35 did, and enjoyed a lavish buffet and drinks in the condo party room. Speeches were made. Everyone had been asked to write a limerick containing Cathy's name and the number 75. The best limerick writer by acclamation won a bottle of wine. Cathy's friend, M. M. won the prize. Live music was provided by Bill Drader and his partner on guitar, Linda. Bill and Linda (billed on the progam as 'Music by Bilinda') played some of Cathy's favorite music while many people danced. A big thank you to all who helped and attended, making it such a memorable occasion for Cathy. Her last birthday. She loved a party.
